Les Airelles in Courchevel: a palace out of a fairytale

How can you resist the refined charm of this 5-star hotel with its chalet-castle look? Its “palace distinction” puts it in the big league, and it’s easy to see why. Gourmet cuisine and luxurious relaxation come to life before a panorama of a thousand snow-capped peaks. The palace spa is certainly one of the finest in the Alps, with exquisite treatments and cryotherapy for post-ski recovery. Courchevel offers an unrivalled setting for unparalleled winter experiences, always in style. Luxe Wellness Club takes you on a gentle conquest.

The magic of Courchevel works every time

Airelles Courchevel is an iconic luxury hotel with a reputation that extends beyond our borders. This hotel, with its 19thᵉ century Austro-Hungarian chateau look, proved to be so prestigious that it was awarded the ultimate distinction in France, that of “Palace”. It was this hotel that was behind the creation of the Airelles collection, a veritable jewel in the crown of the French hotel industry.

Located at the foot of the slopes in Courchevel, it’s a favorite with skiers. The Trois-Vallées estate is accessible from the doorstep. This unique setting, comprising 8 Savoie ski resorts, is the largest ski area in the world. Thrill-seekers and beginners alike can enjoy the slopes. With views of some of the world’s most legendary mountains, the snow-covered panorama is sure to delight. Courchevel is surrounded by over a thousand peaks!

The nearest regional airports are Chambéry and Annecy, about 1h30 from Courchevel by car. Otherwise, Lyon Saint-Exupéry is only two hours away, and Geneva 2h15. If you’d like to arrive by rail, Moûtiers station is around 30 km from the hotel.

Luxury and refinement taken to the extreme

Les Airelles Courchevel offers two categories of rooms, four categories of Junior Suite, six categories of Suites, and a private apartment. Needless to say, each of these accommodations is more magical than the next. Their Alpine decor, with its old-world details and modern comforts, is unique: amber varnished furniture, wood panelling, Austro-Hungarian paintings and collectors’ items. The atmosphere is refined, intimate and infinitely cosy.

Even the bathrooms in the smallest rooms (18 m²) are stylish, with a bathtub or hammam shower. Junior Suites are around 40 m² in size for the smaller ones, and feature a living room with sofas and velvet armchairs. The Junior Suite Prestige Vallée features three separate living areas, with views of the fir trees, and two dressing rooms.

The Suites are more spacious and are all designed to benefit from several separate living areas. Balconies, bathroom with shower-hammam and bathtub, two dressing rooms, fireplace, panoramic views, etc. We’ve thought of everything so you can enjoy a sensational vacation. Our little tip for those who have always dreamed of living the château life: one of the Aubépine & Cardamine Suites is located in the hotel’s emblematic tower.

The top floor of Les Airelles is specially dedicated to the Appartement Privé, certainly the most luxurious suite in the Palace. It features four bedrooms, each with a large balcony or terrace, a private spa (waterfall, sauna, sensory shower and ice fountain), a 150 m² panoramic terrace with Jacuzzi, and, wait for it, even its own private cinema!

Spa La Mer, a jewel in the mountains

The hotel’s wellness area is divided into three zones: sport, relaxation and beauty. The spa is branded “La Mer”, the name of the prestigious cosmetics brand used. It features indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis, a steam room, sauna, sensory showers, waterfalls and even a snow grotto .

The magnificent azure-blue indoor pool alone is worth the detour, with its sculpted ceiling and superb columns almost reminiscent of a Bhutanese version of an Asian temple.

In addition to the prestige La Mer brand, the spa uses Intraceuticals anti-aging products. Thanks to nanotechnology-derived serums, these solutions deliver a rejuvenating effect without surgery or injections. A wide range of treatments and massages are available, including slimming rituals, Ayurvedic massage and muscle recovery.

Treatments can be customized according to your needs, and can even take the form of an osteopathy or orthopractic session (similar to osteopathy but in a standing position). In fact, the spa offers the services of a masseur-physiotherapist and osteopath (who also specializes in traditional Chinese medicine).

For your beauty needs, you can visit the manicure-pedicure salon or the hairdresser-barber. Other beauty treatments are also on the spa’s menu. After being pampered, you can continue your relaxation in the relaxation lounge and enjoy a freshly prepared detox juice.

The fitness room is equipped with state-of-the-art technology. A sports coach is always ready to share his advice. After a sports session or a day on the slopes, the hotel offers the chance to recuperate with a cryotherapy session (immersion of the body in a cabin at -180°C for a few minutes). This highly fashionable technique is favoured by top sportsmen and women. It has been proven, for example, that after a trail run you can recover your maximum muscle strength in just one hour after a full-body cryotherapy session.

Snow like you’ve never experienced it before

Nestled in a large snow-covered domain, there’s no shortage of mountain activities in Courchevel. The hotel takes things up a notch with experiences each more exceptional than the last. And since skiing is part of everyday life in this resort, the Palace offers the services of a valet skier and features a Ski Lounge where guests can receive personalized advice and services. You’ll find all the equipment you need (top-quality equipment by Bernard Orcel) before setting off to conquer the snow. After the effort, the comfort: slippers and hot chocolate await your return from the slopes.

With the desire to offer luxurious experiences in this mountainous territory, the Palace has designed several very attractive experiences: heli-skiing, tobogganing, picnics on the slopes, snowmobile rides, etc. Among them, the “Premières Traces” experience is a real highlight. This is your chance to be the first to enjoy fresh snow in the morning. Whether you’re a pro or a beginner, you can enjoy a unique experience and ski in total freedom before the resort opens.

And if you prefer to stroll around, the Hermès horse-drawn carriage is available for guests to explore the village center. Alpine weather calls for a cashmere plaid to keep you warm.

Airelles Collection likes to please even its youngest guests. The “Royaume des Enfants” is a truly extraordinary Kid’s Club. Castle, tree house, skating rink, video game simulator, air field hockey table, everything is designed to keep them entertained and let you enjoy the spa in peace.

They can also choose from a variety of outdoor activities, including dog sledding, magic shows and field hockey games on the ice rink. Don’t be surprised if you only find them at dinner!

Tasty cuisine

The Palace features three gourmet restaurants.

La Table des Airelles is a sensation, as much for its decor as for its multi-flavored cuisine. The best products (organic and local) from French cuisine are masterfully prepared before the eyes of our guests. The delights of the Table des Airelles come straight from the expertise of two chefs, Giovanni Amato and Elena Mosetti.

Wood panelling, velvet and wood fire plunge guests to the Pietro TT restaurant into a refined, timeless atmosphere. A charming setting for Franco-Italian gastronomy created by Chef Pierre Gagnaire and Riccardo Valore.

Le Coin Savoyard is the place to go for a taste of regional specialities in an authentic, friendly setting.

Finally, right on the slopes, the Chalet de Pierres serves local cuisine based on the finest local produce.

The Nama restaurant at another 5-star hotel, Aman Le Mélézin, is also a culinary reference in Courchevel. There, sashimi, sushi and ramen are a feast for the taste buds.

And finally, La Folie Douce is a place not to be missed. Much more than a simple restaurant, this house serves generous dishes to its guests right in the heart of the Fruitière, against a cabaret backdrop.
