An unrivalled winter event

Faithful to the Airelles hotel collection, this hotel attracts guests with its grandiose poetic universe. Due to open in December 2019, this newcomer to Val d’Isère offers a luxurious version of mountain living. The village of Val d’Isère is a meeting place for winter sports enthusiasts, and every winter, holidaymakers and sports enthusiasts alike bring to life one of the finest ski areas in the Alps.

Airelles Val d’Isère is like a very large chalet made of gray stone and wood. Its architecture is inspired by that of Savoy, and its decor by medieval nobility. In a cozy, comfortable atmosphere, nothing is left to chance. Even the employees are elegantly dressed in old-fashioned attire.

A sumptuously decorated hotel

Airelles Val d’Isère has 27 rooms, 9 suites and 5 private apartments. All accommodations, even the smallest, feature a balcony, shower-hammam and bathtub.

Modern comfort elegantly meets medieval decor. Paintings, antique furniture and Haute Époque woodwork recreate the atmosphere of the Middle Ages with refinement.

Suites feature a living room with sofa bed, and one or two bedrooms. The “Junior Suite Prestige Front de Neige with Norwegian Bath” is undoubtedly one of the most coveted. Not only can you soak in the deliciously warm water on the terrace, this suite also offers a splendid view of the Solaise mountain and the Face de Bellegarde at dawn.

On the fifth and top floor of the hotel, the various private apartments offer exceptional views of the surrounding mountains: the Solaise mountain from the Bellecombe apartment, and the Bailletta mountain from the Chantemerle apartment. In addition to stunning views, these apartments offer ample space for groups. They feature several rooms with private bathrooms (with shower-hammam and bathtub), a balcony, a kitchenette, and the services of a dedicated butler. Some are specially designed for families, with bunk beds and a play area.

The elegant Guerlain spa

Surrounded by arcades, the hotel spa is equally elegant. So it’s no surprise to find the prestigious Guerlain brand associated with the hotel’s wellness center. With 80 years of experience behind it, Guerlain offers expert treatments to awaken the senses. Right from the start of the treatment, you can choose your own olfactory theme. The spa menu lists a wide range of treatments and massages, from the most classic to the most exclusive, specially created for Airelles Val d’Isère.

Le Royaume des Neiges, for example, is a body and face massage designed to release muscular tension, while Bouclier d’Immunité aims to eliminate toxins by combining a Guerlain massage with an osteopathic session. Their combination increases the draining and relaxing effects of the massage tenfold. The spa does indeed offer osteopathy sessions, focusing on different objectives:

  • to better adapt to pregnancy-related body changes
  • to boost your immune system
  • for top-level athletes
  • to stimulate the lymphatic system and blood circulation, thanks to the cupping method inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine.

To vary the pleasures, the spa welcomes guests in two different lounges: one is dedicated to hand, foot and leg treatments, while the other is devoted to body treatments, with horizontal showers. In addition to wellness treatments, other beauty treatments are on the menu, as is the Maison de coiffure Christophe-Nicolas Biot.

The spa covers an area of 1,200 m², and moments of relaxation come to life in a variety of ways. Whether in the 20-meter indoor pool inspired by a ” medieval washhouse “, the steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi or sensory showers, you can bask in the winter chill for hours on end. You can forget all about it with a cup of tea or hot chocolate, served directly from the spa bar. And don’t forget that even the youngest guests can relax in the Grotte de la Forêt de Brocéliande spa.

While there’s no shortage of sporting activities in Val d’Isère, the wellness center also features a fitness room with Technogym strength and cardio training equipment.

Exceptional winter adventures

With “Royaume des enfants“, the Airelles collection brings the expression “child-king” to life. The hotel has created an imaginary world inspired by Merlin the Enchanter, inviting youngsters to join in the fun. A nanny welcomes them every day with different daily activities.

Young people aren’t the only ones who enjoy themselves. With such a geographical location, you can imagine that snow is an essential element for extraordinary experiences. The program includes ice climbing, snowshoeing, paragliding, snowmobiling and ice diving. And don’t forget the inevitable ski days! The hotel has its own Ski Salon (with Bernard Orcel equipment).

Diving under the ice

In winter, the natural lake at Tignes 2100 is covered in one to two meters of ice. With the sun, the ice simply melts and then freezes again, creating a breathtaking play of light and shadow. The hotel offers the chance to discover the lake under the ice, accompanied by a qualified diving instructor.

You can continue your alpine adventure by climbing an icefall with a specialist guide. An experience rich in sensations and suitable for all levels.

Trapper Experience

If you’ve always dreamed of becoming a trapper (but only for an evening), the hotel has it all planned: an aperitif around the fire, a Savoyard meal in a Mongolian yurt and a three-kilometer toboggan ride back to the hotel. Unforgettable total immersion!

Refinement down to the tip of the fork

In keeping with the cliché, being nestled in the mountains, you’d expect to eat a lot of cheese. And that’s exactly the case at Carnotzet ! This restaurant immerses its guests in a comforting Savoyard atmosphere over a fine meal based on local and regional produce. All the more satisfying after a good day’s skiing.

But the Carnotzet isn’t the only place to win you over after you’ve set foot in the snow. The Terrasse du VI offers exceptional views of the snow-capped mountains. This 860 m² terrace has it all: views, sunshine, a gourmet menu and live music. The Le VI restaurant offers fine cuisine accompanied by prestigious wines.

Lovers of Grands Crus are also invited to step through the Bar’s doors. In addition to rare spirits, there is also a selection of fine champagnes. Refined cocktails, accompanied by sweet and savory treats, are enjoyed by the fireside in a convivial atmosphere. In a more hushed atmosphere, Le Fumoir welcomes guests with rare cigars and spirits. A popular spot for chess players.

The journey to Airelles is easily made by car (or even by helicopter or private plane to the Val d’Isère altiport). For those who prefer to travel by train, Bourg-Saint-Maurice station is around 30 minutes away by car, and Moûtiers an hour. Lyon Saint-Exupéry and Geneva airports are less than three hours away.
