Fairmont Taghazout Bay: Sport and well-being on the Moroccan coast

Morocco is an extraordinary destination. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is the lively, colorful souks, medinas and spicy fragrances of its cities and palaces. Then, along the way, this magnificent country reminds us that it borders the Atlantic coast, its shores and sublime beaches as far as the eye can see, or its sand dunes plunging into the ocean. Morocco is synonymous with culture, but it’s also synonymous with the gentle way of life, warm sand and relaxation! The best example of this is the Fairmont Taghazout Bay, the finest luxury hotel on the Moroccan coast, with a fantastic spa and a wide range of sporting activities.

The Fairmont Taghazout is a magnificent luxury resort located on the Atlantic coast, south of Agadir. The coolness of the ocean will soften the high temperatures to which we can be exposed in Morocco, especially in summer. The immense park space in which the resort is located is a promise of disconnection and relaxation. The ultra-luxury spa is a sanctuary to revitalize and restore your inner balance. The spa is renowned for its holistic treatments, including fitness, yoga and meditation.

The hotel is also a stone’s throw from the Tazegzout golf course. Overlooking the ocean, this 27-hole golf course was designed by world-renowned expert Kyle Phillips. Surf club, bike tours, e-motion sports sessions.

Just 17km from Agadir airport, with its golden beaches, azure waters and breathtaking sunsets, don’t miss out on this luxury destination in southern Morocco.

Fairmont Taghazout Bay is a haven for rejuvenation. Facing the beach, backed by the Atlas Mountains, the hotel is an oasis bathed in light and lulled by the holistic approach of the spa.

It has 146 rooms divided into Deluxe categories, suites and private villas. Scattered across an 18-hectare estate, each accommodation is spacious, bright and open onto the gardens or the ocean. All enjoy their own private terraces, where you can savor the gentle atmosphere at any time.

All rooms also offer access to a magnificent marble bathroom, giving these luxurious cocoons a distinctive, refined character.

The smallest rooms are 50 m², while some villas offer 400 m² for four bedrooms and four bathrooms.

The facilities are top-of-the-range, and we particularly appreciate the brightness of the rooms and the neutral tones chosen for the decor, which contribute to the calm we’re looking for. Beds are King size or Queen size. Some rooms even offer two queen-size beds for those who prefer to sleep undisturbed, or perhaps for families!

The resort has 4 private villas, the largest measuring 579 m². It can accommodate up to 10-12 people – 5 bedrooms and their sublime bathrooms. With their contemporary architecture, these villas are jewels in terms of living space, panorama and materials used.

The entire resort is designed in a clean, contemporary style. The focus is on the environment and ocean views. It’s almost like a village of kasbahs facing the ocean, with the added bonus of luxury!

An 1,800 m² wellness sanctuary

Clad in natural wood, stone and, as throughout the resort, large openings to play with the light and ocean, the Fairmont Taghazout spa is beautifully designed.

It features a hammam and sauna, and a magnesium pool renowned for making water less irritating to the skin and eyes, and easing muscular pain. There’s also a meditation area to help you let go.

Spa treatments are based on natural products and ancestral knowledge to loosen up a tense body, regenerate an exhausted organism, and “spice up” tired skin!

Facials use the virtues of oxygen to reduce stress and hydrate the skin, and three types of collagen to sculpt and restructure the face.

The spa works with the Natura Bisse brand , voted best spa cosmetics brand three years ago.

Body rituals are of course guided by Moroccan tradition and its ancestral expertise in Berber rituals. Argan oil, mud wraps, traditional rassoul soap : traditional skincare products are enhanced by the expert hands of the spa’s therapists. A delight for body and mind.

We were talking about fitness and meditation. Packages are specially designed to organize your stay around these practices. For example, you can take advantage of our Surf & Spa packages, which combine private surfing lessons with sculpting treatments designed to loosen up your muscles afterwards.

Or perhaps you’d prefer to punctuate your stay with yoga and planned private or group sessions, every day, every other day or at a pace to suit you.

At last, you can discover how to sculpt your body in just 20 minutes a day with e-motion! In just 20 minutes, thanks to a combination of 18 electrodes, you can deeply stimulate over 300 muscles. The results are amazing!
