Exclusive interview: Pascal Languillon, founder of Luxe Wellness Club

At Luxe Wellness Club, we like to spotlight the world’s most inspiring places, but today it’s its founder who lends himself to the interview game. Pascal Languillon opens the doors to his career, his personal health discoveries, and his deep passion for well-being.

“Why I chose this profession

Q: Pascal, you’re the man behind Luxe Wellness Club. What inspired you to create this unique concept combining luxury travel and health?

Pascal Languillon: I’ve always had two great passions: travel and health. When I was very young, I explored the world, with a real passion for nature and meeting different cultures. I also studied neurobiology in Canada (I have a Master’s degree), and I could almost have become a researcher, but I couldn’t see myself spending my life in a laboratory…

I then specialized in spreading the concept of ecotourism, to help both the planet and local communities develop quality tourism. Over time, I realized that what impressed me most was not just the beauty of the landscape, but the ability of certain places to profoundly transform the way I felt physically and mentally, and this notion of well-being became really important to me. I started doing yoga, eating healthier… I was very sensitive to the world of well-being. Protecting the environment, nature, health… these are all related themes.

At one point, it seemed obvious to me: why not create a bridge between these two worlds? Hotel luxury, with its high standards, and integrative health, with its preventive and therapeutic approaches. Luxe Wellness Club was born of this vision: tooffer stays that go far beyond vacations, and offer a true renaissance .

“What I’ve learned about my own health

Q: You’ve tested dozens of medical spas, yoga retreats, detox cures and longevity clinics around the world. What have you learned about your own health from all these experiences?

P.L.: Every stay has been a lesson. In Austria, at Mayrlife, I understood the importance of personalized nutrition and the central role of the microbiota. In Bali, I experienced the power of breathing and meditation. At Chenot Palace, I saw how eating little can restore mental clarity.

These experiences transformed me personally. I’ve learned to slow down and listen to my body. I now regularly practice intermittent fasting once a week, I take certain dietary supplements, I’ve integrated conscious breathing routines, I even bought an LED mask 🙂 These are not “passing” habits but pillars of my daily life. I now practice Gyrotonic after discovering it at Zulal Wellness Resort, I have a really great sports coach who helps me build muscle, to combat the sarcopenia that threatens us all, and I drink calcium water to prevent osteoporosis. However, I don’t think I’ve gone to the extremes of Bryan Johnson, and I spend much less than he does…

And I’d say that the greatest lesson was to understand that health is a permanent construction: it’s cultivated day after day. And that the key to longevity is to lead a healthy life, from an early age.

“How it helps me advise my customers”.

Q: How does this personal learning influence the way you support your customers?

P.L.: I can speak with sincerity about what I’ve experienced myself. When I recommend a detox cure, I know exactly what challenges the customer will face: the fatigue of the first few days, the renewed energy afterwards. When I recommend a longevity clinic, I know just how revealing and sometimes overwhelming medical check-ups can be.

This allows me to guide my customers with transparency, giving them practical, realistic advice. My role is not just to book them a stay, it’s to ensure that the experience is adapted to their profile and needs. I always tell them: I’ll never recommend a program or destination that I haven’t tested or that I’m not convinced of. This requirement is my guarantee of quality.

“Passion above all

Q: You often talk about passion. What really drives you in this business?

P.L.: What I’m passionate about is transformation. Seeing a customer come back from a stay and tell me: “I’ve got my sleep back”, “I feel like I’ve lost ten years”, or “I feel so regenerated”. These are priceless testimonials.

For me, luxury isn’t just a palace with an infinity pool or a spectacular suite. It’s the luxury of taking care of yourself, of treating yourself to quality time, of investing in your health. Today, true luxury means living a long, healthy and energetic life.

I firmly believe that the stays we offer at Luxe Wellness Club are not interludes, but triggers. They help people to start new routines, to review their priorities, to give themselves a better quality of life. And that’s what motivates me every day.

“A message for those who are still hesitating”.

Q: What message would you like to pass on to people who are hesitating to take the plunge and enjoy a wellness break?

P.L.: I’d like to tell them that it’s probably one of the best investments they can make for themselves. We often think of travel as a moment of escape. But a wellness holiday is much more than that: it’s a rendezvous with oneself.

There’s no need to wait for a health problem before taking action. Prevention is the key. Many of our customers return transformed, with new energy, sometimes even with a new vision of their lives. And no luxury item, no purely touristy holiday can deliver that.

In short, giving your body and mind a wellness break means giving your health a new lease of life. And it’s often the starting point for a more sustainable path to balance and longevity.
