The 8 Anantara Pool Villas are the ultimate in exclusivity. Access to the villas is totally private and independent of the resort. On the beach, each villa has its own swimming pool and large, sheltered terraces. A private chef and your dedicated butler are the promise of tailor-made island experiences and discoveries. Lunch on a desert island or in-room spa treatments, all you have to do is ask!

The resort can also accommodate you in one of the 164 rooms and suites, ranging in size from 55m² to over 100m², scattered throughout the hotel’s magnificent tropical vegetation. The rooms are also contemporary in design, opening onto the outside world through huge bay windows. Private gardens punctuate the indoor-outdoor lifestyle so typical of tropical regions.

The hotel’s location in the extreme south-east of the island makes it the perfect base from which to explore the tea plantations and rum distilleries, traditional products of Mauritius. I’m sure the mere mention of it already makes you smell those spicy Indian Ocean flavors. You can also enjoy hiking in the Ferney Valley or the legendary Avalon golf course. It overlooks the ocean and the cane and tea plantations. Located on the slopes of the Kanaka volcano crater, it is the island’s highest golf course at 500 m altitude, perfect for escaping the heat of the austral summer!

Start by adopting the rhythm of the sun through yoga and morning meditation. The sun salutation has never been so aptly named!

Then discover the power of Ayurvedic massages and treatments, such as the Abhyanga massage. This ancestral massage with hot oil is extremely relaxing, but also recognized for its calming properties on stress and mental agitation.

Your meditative practices, now recognized as a genuine stress-reliever, will be guided by a mindfulness instructor. He will share with you practical exercises designed to ward off negative energies and limiting thoughts.

During your wellness retreat, also practice tai chi and enjoy the soothing rituals of the Anantara spa courses.
