Amanoi: luxury in a green setting in Vietnam

Amanoi takes its name from the Sanskrit word for “peace” and the Vietnamese word for “place”. No other name could better describe what this resort has in store for you. Surrounded by nature and the ocean as far as the eye can see, the hotel is a haven for holistic practices, wellness activities and expert treatments. Once again, Aman brings its elegant touches of luxury and contemporary comfort to a magnificent traditional design. Let yourself be carried away by the wisdom of Amanoi.

Immersed in nature

Scattered on a cliff between jungle and beach, Amanoi’s accommodations are immediately enchanting by their location. The diversity of the natural landscape – with its lush forest, sea and lake water – already transports us into a meditative state. Jean-Michel Gathy has created an architecture that resonates with the environment, notably by playing with wooden furniture and decoration. Traditional Vietnamese style blends delightfully with modern comforts.

In the eastern part of Nui Chua National Park, the resort offers spectacular views of both the national park and the sea. In addition to the fact that Vietnam enjoys one of the best climates on the planet, Amanoi has its own microclimate. Few rains and average temperatures ranging from 22 to 35°C make for pleasant vacations all year round.

The hotel is located on Vietnam’s east coast, 370 km from the capital Ho Chi Minh. The nearest airport to Amanoi is Cam Ranh Airport, an hour’s drive away.

Vietnamese elegance and modern comfort

There are three categories of accommodation at Amanoi, all of which allow you to contemplate and become one with Mother Nature.

The Pavilions & Villas, immersed in flamboyant nature, are reminiscent of traditional Vietnamese houses. All villas feature a terrace with private pool and a choice of ocean or national park views.

The Amanoi Residences are popular with families and groups of friends (with two to five double rooms). With a dining room, lounge and infinity pool, the Residences offer the ultimate luxury experience: private buggy, butler, private barbecue chef and all-inclusive activities. You can start each day with a wellness class (yoga, Pilates, fitness, etc.) and continue with water sports (kayaking, windsurfing, stand-up paddle). Children also have their own activities, such as cooking classes or creative arts activities. They can even learn to fish.

Finally, theWellness Pool Villa experience is reserved for the most passionate of wellness enthusiasts. These two exclusive accommodations with their superb facilities are entirely designed for total, holistic immersion in well-being. Based on the theme of water or the forest, depending on the location of each villa, relaxing treatments are provided in the exclusive treatment cabin, for a moment of indulgence for two… After cooling off in the cold-water pool, you can relax on the terrace, in the Jacuzzi or in the private hammam. And finish off with a few laps in the pool.

A spa using ancestral techniques

Aman’s spa concept aims to help everyone achieve their ideal balance through a holistic approach combining physical, mental and sociological well-being. Based on nutrition, physical activity, psychological health and body care, the methods used at the spa are inspired by the ancestral knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda. Rest assured, you don’t need to be an expert to take advantage of this new feature. But Aman wants to demystify this language, still shyly understood in our Western society.

As for treatments, the spa’s extensive menu of Vietnamese and international treatments is sure to boost your energy, literally, from head to toe. The energetic, emotional and physical aspects are worked on. All in expert hands, using natural products and respecting ancient traditions.

When it comes to sports, there are plenty of options to choose from, in private or group lessons. Tai Chi, kick boxing, fitness, beach bootcamp, etc. A studio is specially dedicated to yoga and pilates, with daily group classes included. In addition to the tennis court, there’s a gym with state-of-the-art equipment.

Wellness even in your villa

Retreats combining discovery, sport and nature are offered throughout the year. For two or three nights, you can take part in aerobic exercise in the heart of nature, discover the region with your family, or enjoy an extraordinary wellness experience by booking the “Wellness Pool Villa Experience”. The villa features a hammam, Jacuzzi, swimming pool and treatment room. A therapist is assigned to each villa to provide the best possible care. During your stay, focused on nature, consciousness and nutrition, you’ll enjoy one treatment a day, a private Aqua Yoga session, a healthy Vietnamese cooking class, and even a Buddhist blessing ceremony.

Amanoi Spa invites guests to discover its two Spa Houses. Each features two pavilions, personal therapists, a swimming pool and other relaxation amenities. On the one hand, the Thuy Lien Spa House opens its doors to enjoy a program based on Turkish and Moroccan hammams. An Son Pas House is a wellness retreat with an oriental touch, offering treatments in a bathtub made of eucalyptus or oak leaves.

There’s also plenty for the youngsters to do themselves good. Why not try the Little Angels massage? And for sun-sensitive skin, a special after-sun massage nourishes the skin with a cucumber mask followed by an aloe vera treatment.

Irresistible Vietnamese flavours

Vietnamese cuisine, so varied and fragrant, needs no introduction… At Amanoi’s main restaurant, it’s the star of the show. Fresh, local products, including freshly caught fish, reveal their flavors on a shaded terrace with stunning views.

For a snack or a refreshing drink, head for The Beach Club.

The Bar draws its influence from Vietnamese teahouses.

For a unique experience and a better understanding of local life, Aman invites you to join a family for dinner. The generous Ba Chin and her family will tell you all about the history of the village, while the hotel’s chefs prepare an authentic Vietnamese dinner.
