Perched on a cliff overlooking the energetic Atlantic Ocean, the hotel is a destination that is both invigorating and 100% relaxing. The casitas (small houses) or casas (large houses) are scattered among lush vegetation, with direct access to the beach or forest, as you prefer.

True to the Aman Group’s style, the casas and casitas are architectural jewels, modern, uncluttered, open to the ocean and full of light: “bring the outside in” in the hotel’s own words. The Caribbean comes to mind with the use of tropical woods and openings to the outside, for this true indoor-outdoor experience. You live by the wind and the sun.

Tropical jungle, pristine sand and ocean

Amanera resort enjoys a calm, lush and protected environment. Its location is a real asset for water sports, golf or jungle exploration.

The rollers of the Atlantic will lull you to sleep throughout your stay…and will undoubtedly seduce slide lovers. The Playa Grande international golf course adjoins the hotel, and you can also enjoy a fabulous course overlooking the cliffs, facing the ocean.

Taíno wellness traditions and connection to the moon

The spa is set atop a cliff and surrounded by the nurturing jungle from which some of the medicinal plants used come. Our treatments and therapies are intimately linked to the surrounding nature, the moon and the ocean’s energy, with a totally holistic approach. Inspired by the shamanic healing traditions of the Taíno people, these treatments combine the virtues of Caribbean herbs with natural products from the Aman Skincare range.

You can book transformative, sensory journeys like the Voyage Lunaire treatment, which draws its power from larimar, a rare blue stone known to promote physical and emotional healing. Closely linked to the cycles of the moon, this stone rebalances the chakras. Its virtues are complemented by a palo santo purification ceremony using the aromatic smoke of this sacred wood.

Immersive journeys are also offered at the spa to nourish body, mind and soul. These three-hour treatments feature rituals designed to cleanse, restore and reclaim the power of your body. Jade powder, calendula oil and Himalayan salts are just some of the ingredients used.

To energize the body while nourishing the spirit, fitness is practiced on the beach. Running in the sand, bodyweight exercises, very complete sessions enriched by the power of the ocean…you won’t miss a single class!
