We tested it for you : RXV Village in Bangkok

By Pascal Languillon, CEO Luxe Wellness Club

Forty kilometers from the center of Bangkok, RXV Wellness Village offers a serious yet accessible approach to well-being . Conceived as a simpler, more natural extension of the RAKxa spirit, this immersi village offers a wide range of treatments in verdant surroundings on the banks of the Tha Chin River. I stayed here to discover this concept, which focuses on the quality of wellness rather than the luxury of the rooms. Here’s my account, including yoga sessions on the river, art therapy around a revelatory mandala and deep body treatments.

Just an hour from the center of Bangkok, RXV Wellness Village offers a breath of fresh air. Nestled on the tranquil banks of the Tha Chin River, the estate is immediately captivating for its lush natural surroundings: tall trees, botanical gardens and a peaceful atmosphere where you hear more birds than cars.

The concept is one of total well-being : body, mind, social life and connection to nature. We offer both fitness programs and integrative medicine services. The idea is to enable everyone, whatever their level, to take a step towards greater serenity. The RXV team perfectly embodies the spirit of the place: benevolence, simplicity, sincerity. You can feel that the staff are truly committed to the “wellness” philosophy, and this attitude contributes enormously to the quality of the stay. You feel taken care of, but never over-framed.

I stayed in the large suite overlooking the river, at the very top of the building. It’s a room bathed in light, open to the vegetation and the water. The large bay windows give a wonderful impression of space.

It should be pointed out, however, that RXV is not a luxury establishment. Rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, but without the “wow” factor of Rakxa. It’s more about the overall experience than the sophistication of the decor. This is also part of its charm: here, everything is designed for well-being, not pomp and circumstance.

A high-quality wellness experience

One of the most memorable experiences was yoga by the river. The absolutely peaceful setting lent itself perfectly to the practice. The very young teacher, with a soft, confident voice, guided the session through anchoring postures and conscious breathing. I always think it’s important where you practice yoga, and this platform is perfect!

Direction RXV Gaya, the fitness center: Before starting, a physiotherapist put me through a series of exercises toassess my posture, flexibility and coordination. This assessment gave me a better understanding of my strengths… and my areas of stiffness.

From there, the coach built a tailor-made session, combining stretching, balance work and corrective movements. Nothing brutal or overly sporty: the idea is to regain natural mobility, adjust everyday gestures and improve the connection between body and mind. I liked this precise, caring approach, which feels good without forcing you.

RXV’s hydrotherapy area is one of the largest I’ve seen for a facility of this standing. Various pools, including an oxygen bath, an infrared sauna, a hammam, experience showers and relaxation zones create a real wellness experience. The architecture, open to the vegetation, creates a restful, luminous atmosphere. It’s easy to spend an hour alternating temperatures and sensations, in a welcome silence. It’s a place where the body relaxes completely, where the mind naturally empties.

One of the great assets of RXV is the variety of activities focused on reconnection. Among these, I was lucky enough to take part in an art therapy session that had a profound effect on me. Under the guidance of a therapist, I was invited to create a mandala, a circular drawing in which each color, each shape, has its own meaning. The seemingly simple exercise turned out to be surprisingly introspective. It was analyzed by the team, revealing facets of my personality and current state of mind. This session reminded me that creativity can be a formidable tool for self-knowledge.

RXV offers a wide range of treatments, from traditional Thai massage to more specific approaches inspired by physiotherapy. I particularly remember a fascia release treatment, a gentle technique designed to relax the thin membranes that envelop our muscles and organs.

For almost an hour, the therapist alternated slow pressure and targeted stretching. Gradually, I felt my shoulders drop, my neck loosen, and a real space recreate in my back. At the end, I had that rare sensation of having rediscovered a truer, more natural posture. This treatment deeply relaxed me and gave me a lightness I hadn’t felt in a long time.

Tasty, well-balanced Thai cuisine

Catering is another strong point of RXV Wellness Village. The chef offers authentic Thai cuisine adapted to a wellness approach: light, colorful, full of freshness and flavor.

The meals are a real pleasure: green curry with crunchy vegetables, grilled fish with tamarind sauce, papaya salad with just the right amount of spice… The dishes are beautifully presented, the portions balanced, and the seasoning always just right. The food here is gourmet, but not excessive.

I also appreciated the fresh juices and herbal infusions, perfect for accompanying meals. This culinary approach, healthy without being austere, illustrates the spirit of the place: nourishing body and soul with simplicity and taste.

Our feeling

RXV Wellness Village is an excellent choice when you’re looking for affordable luxury. The resort has a peaceful atmosphere, quality treatments and a global approach to wellness that makes sense. A sincere, coherent and rejuvenating place, where you can leave soothed and recharged.
